Seth’s Blog: Time to start a newspaper
Though I don’t really want to start a newspaper, I understand Seth’s sentiment here. For 20 years we have been focused on the growth of big commerce. Bring in a Wal-Mart! Hey a McDonald’s opened up down the street! Several months ago on This Week in Tech Jason Calicanis, said “In a down ecomomy, the best thing to invest in is yourself”. And I agree. I also agree that if your self-investment improves your local environment/ecomonmy/neighborhood you are a step ahead of anyone else. Own your own zip code. Do it!
